Introduction to the PSA

All parents and staff are members of the PSA.  Through the PSA, parents, staff and former pupils join together to make a positive change to the lives of Devonshire children.

The PSA is a registered charity, our committee members, parent and staff helpers work for free and all of the money raised is spent directly on Devonshire children.

Our purpose is twofold, the first is to create memorable events for our children to enjoy and the second is to raise funds which can be spent on our children to enhance their time at Devonshire.

Our two main events are the Christmas and Summer Fayre which are both very successful and a lot of fun.  We also have termly discos and twice yearly bag to school collections.  We end the year with our infamous ice cream social on the school field where all children, parents and their families are given a free ice cream which is a wonderful way to end the year.

This year, our fundraising has provided a £10,000 contribution to the new school playground, £100 for each class to choose new books for their book corners, wet weather play items, a contribution to the Year 6 school trip, the Year 6 SATS breakfast, the ice cream social, ice pops for the children following their sports days and a keyboard to enhance music lessons.  As you can see we really do make a difference to the children's lives at Devonshire.

Please see the PSA events calendar on the PSA News page for events that have already been arranged.

We are always looking for help so if you could offer the PSA some of your time, however small. Please give your details to the school office and we will get in touch with you.
