Who are link parents?

The school has established a network of link parents to help new parents whose children are joining existing class groups.

Joining a new school can be difficult as all schools have their own individual traditions and ways of doing things. Staff are always available to help but sometimes it is easier to ask another parent. Also, some parents may appreciate being introduced to other parents in their child’s year, especially those with a shared language.

Link parents are existing parents who have volunteered to answer questions a new parent may have and help introduce new parents into the school community. Every new parent is offered the opportunity to speak to a link parent in their child’s year group.

New parents

If you are a new parent who would like a link parent to contact you, please contact us and give your name and your child’s name and class. Alternatively just speak to any member of staff.

Existing parents

All existing parents are welcome to join the network of link parents. All that is required is the willingness to speak to a new parent who has requested contact with a link parent. Please contact us or speak to any member of staff if you are interested in becoming a link parent.
