A-Z After School Club

Who we are

Activities in the A-Z After School ClubThe A - Z After School Club offers childcare from 3.00pm to 6.00pm Monday to Friday for Devonshire children during term time (except when the school is closed and the afternoon of the Christmas fair). It has been operating successfully since April 2006 and is popular with parents and children.

The Club offers a happy, fun and safe environment with a variety of activities, toys and equipment to meet the needs of all ages and abilities. The Club is based in the Junior hall. The children use the Junior and the Infant playgrounds and playing field in most weather conditions.

Drinks are available throughout the session and a light tea is also provided. All drinks and food are included in the fee.

Nicki Santos, the Manager of the A-Z Club (the A-Z After School Club and A-Z Breakfast Club), is fully qualified in childcare and is first aid trained. Nicki has over 26 years' experience of working in the 2-11 age range. The Deputy Manager of the A-Z Club, Chloe Simner, has over seven years' experience of working in the 0-11 age range.

All A-Z Club staff hold an NVQ 2/3 qualification and are fully trained in first aid, safeguarding procedures and food hygiene.

From September 2016, the Club became part of the school and now comes under the school's Ofsted registration. The Club was last inspected by Ofsted in April 2015 and received a good rating with a positive report.
