Devonshire's Gardening Triumph Print E-mail

Gardening club 2010Devonshire Primary School's gardening club entered the school's section of the Sutton In Bloom Competition.  We worked our hardest for the school garden making it look nice and full of plants. We have been planting beans, strawberries, potatoes, cabbages, new flowers and a willow dome which I think you have all seen at the cake sale. The gardening club has watered and weeded the plants thoroughly each day.

Certificate for Sutton in Bloom 2010 WinnerWe had a judge from the Sutton In Bloom Competition come to our school and ask questions to the gardening club. After long lunch times of hard work we found out we had won the school's section of the Borough in Bloom Competition and Devonshire Primary School was very proud!

We could not have done it without Mrs Aldous who runs our gardening club.
