London's Burning Print E-mail

We have been learning about the Great Fire of London.  We made models of the houses that were in Pudding Lane.  We then made our own Pudding Lane, starting with the bakery, on the school field.  Then Mrs Rouse set our Pudding Lane alight and we all stood safely at the edge of the field.  The fire spread very quickly from house to house and the fire got bigger and bigger.  The houses burnt to the ground and they turned into ash.  We enjoyed watching the fire spread and it helped us imagine what happened to the houses in The Great Fire of London.  As the houses burnt we sang ‘ London’s Burning’.
