Key objectives

Devonshire Primary School is a caring community, enthusiastic for everyone's success. Our aims are as follows.

  • We aim for attainment data from Foundation Stage through to end of Key Stage 2 data to exceed national averages.
  • We aim for attendance to exceed national average each year.
  • We aim to enrich the quality of the learning environment throughout the Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 to promote high standards of safety, behaviour and achievement.
  • We aim to promote a culture of distributed leadership at our school.
  • We aim to give each voice within the school community the opportunity to shape the future of our school.
  • We aim to promote the school as a gateway to extended services for our families.
  • We aim to promote the school's website as a hub for current information.
  • We aim to instil in our children a passion to be the best they can be.
  • We aim to promote the 6Rs – Respectfulness, Resourcefulness, Resilience, (good) Relationships, Risk-taking and Reflection.
  • We aim to elevate the acronym DPS (standing for Diversity, Pride and Success) so that it is recognised by the whole school community.
  • We aim to make an informed decision regarding Devonshire’s commitment to a successful, mutually-beneficial schools’ partnership.
  • We aim to embrace expansion without compromising our caring ethos.
