School event news

Last Friday evening 20 swimmers represented Devonshire at the borough school’s swimming gala. Children from Year 4 upwards competed against 8 other schools. The children were fantastic ambassadors for the school and we were all very proud of them and their tremendous efforts. A special mention must go to our girl’s medley relay team (Hayley, Nicole and Iniyaa) who won a bronze medal, Hayley who won a bronze medal in the girl’s butterfly race, to the Year 6 who competed having just come back from their residential trip and to the Year 5 boys who filled any gaps we had in our Year 6 team. Thanks to Miss Newton, the team manager and to Mr Wells, Mrs Scrivens, Miss Dourado and Miss Byfield who were all poolside with the children at the gala. Also, thank you to the parent supporters.Last Friday evening 20 swimmers represented Devonshire at the borough school’s swimming gala. Children from Year 4 upwards competed against 8 other schools. Thank you to all of the parents and grandparents who accompany our swimming trip each week. Without you, we would struggle to give the children the swimming opportunities that they currently have.
