Junior libraryThe Junior library has a large and varied collection of fiction and non-fiction books which children may borrow. The fiction books cater for early readers through to competent junior readers. The range of books include humorous, fantasy, adventure, short stories, poetry, classics, mystery, sport, historical, poetry, plays and ghost stories. The non-fiction books cover all interests from racing cars to festivals around the world and from prehistoric life to playing chess.

New books are regularly added. The School Council hold fund raising events, which help to buy new books. Donations of suitable books are always welcome.

The books are catalogued, tracked and loaned using specially designed software. Each child is allocated a unique barcode for the purposes of borrowing and returning books and each book similarly has its own barcode. Children are required to return books to the library before another book may be borrowed. To ensure that the library remains sustainable, a contribution is requested for each book not returned to the library.

The library is open three afternoons a week for children to use. It is staffed by parent volunteers. If you are interested in helping, please speak to Mr Martin Kearsey. Library monitors are chosen from Year 6 children and may operate the library computer as well as help keep the library tidy.
