At Devonshire Primary School, we take online safety very seriously and aim to provide children and parents with all the necessary information around keeping safe online so that our pupils are able to thrive using technology at school and at home. One way in which we communicate online safety messages is through the use of Digital Leaders.
Two children are chosen from each class to be Digital Leaders and represent their class. They learn, through workshops during assemblies, about how to stay safe online and deliver those messages through class assemblies to their peers.
The programme we use to faciliate our Digital Leaders is called Childnet Digital Leaders. This programme gives the children training and guidance on activities and learning opportunities that can be taken back into their classrooms to deliver to their peers.
