Inside the classroom

Opportunities for children to use and apply our school values are included within our curriculum and planned activities within each curriculum area.  These support their personal development.

Our curriculum provides children with opportunities to appreciate, celebrate and respect equality and diversity.

Our curriculum, most specifically PSHE and RE, provides learning opportunities that nurture children to be confident and successful, increasing their capacity to learn and be prepared for the challenges of the modern world.  They are provided with opportunities to develop their emotional intelligence and life skills.

We strive to ensure that the books in our reading areas are inclusive and show equality and diversity.  We aim to have a mixture of fiction and non fiction to harness children’s interests.

Where famous people associated with subjects are included in the curriculum, we ensure that they represent diversity of the world that we live in.
