Admissions to Devonshire Nursery

If you wish your child to start nursery this academic year (children born between 1st September 2019 - 31st August 2020), please call the school office directly.

Information on admissions to the Nursery in September 2024

There is one main intake for the Nursery each year, which is in September in the Autumn term. The earliest that a child will normally be considered to join the Nursery is at the beginning of the September following their third birthday. It may, however, be possible for younger children to gain a place starting mid-way through the academic year, subject to the availability of places.

For children born between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021, an online application should be completed and submitted before the deadline of 15 January 2024 for those children to attend the Nursery from September 2024. A link to the application can be found at the bottom of this page. The completed application is sent directly to the school.

If an application to attend Nursery was made last year for a child born between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021, but the application was unsuccessful, another application must be completed and submitted before the deadline of 15 January 2024 for the child to attend the Nursery from September 2024.

Children born between 1 September 2021 and 31 December 2022 may be able to attend the Nursery at the start of the Spring term in January 2025 if there are places available at this point. An application must be completed and submitted by the deadline of 15 January 2024.

Children born between 1 January 2022 and 31 March 2022 may be able to attend the Nursery at the start of the Summer term in April 2025 if there are places available at this point. An application must be completed and submitted by the deadline of 15 January 2024.

There are 26 places in the morning session. 

We do not offer 30-hour placements.

For children born between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021, we will contact you by 30 April 2024 if your application has been successful. Please ensure that we always have your up to date details. 

Please include evidence of your address with your application form - a current council tax bill, or if you are a council tenant - a copy of your tenancy agreement. Please also include evidence of any social/medical reasons that you wish to be considered.
